Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
It is a wonderful opportunity to be in mission with God in God's mission field. Whether it be in our local community, in our state, around our country, or out of the country, God can use each of our talents for the mission field.

October Mission Project:
Operation Christmas Child
Our mission project for the month of October will be to fill Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to be given to children around the world to understand the true love of Jesus. The boxes may be picked up at church and brought back Monday through Friday from 8:00am-noon or on Sunday morning during the worship service. These boxes will then be sent to the organization for distribution around the world. Jesus called us to plant seeds of goodness and kindness. As an offering to God from you or your family, help us fill these shoeboxes to plant those seeds.

Local Missions
We have several different local mission projects we are supporting and encouraging you to be a part of. From our local food pantry which helps serve those that are hungry, to our partnering with other churches such as the Presbyterian Church of Washington, MO to help with making meals for the Meals on Wheels program, we have opportunities for local missions.

Food Pantry
The food pantry is open Friday afternoons from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the church. No background check is required.

Maintenance Ministry
Do you have some basic home projects that you need assistance with such as changing batteries in smoke detectors, changing furnace filters, or other project? We have a team that would be glad to help with those projects. Reach out to the church office at 636-239-4477 or patty@firstwashmo.com to get started.
Out of State Missions
We are involved with mission trips nearby and far away. Trips are scheduled throughout the year and can include weekend long missions to week-long missions. A mission team went to Alaska in 2019 and in 2023. Stay tuned for future out-of-state mission opportunities.
