Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

It is a wonderful opportunity to be in mission with God in God's mission field.  Whether it be in our local community, in our state, around our country, or out of the country, God can use each of our talents for the mission field.

Out of State Missions

We are involved with mission trips nearby and far away.  Trips are scheduled throughout the year and can include weekend long missions to week-long missions.  Previous out of state mission trips have included Alaska in 2019.

Alaska 2023

We have an upcoming mission trip to Alaska June 19-24, 2023.
The cost is $1700 per person and includes travel, lodging, and meals.

While in Alaska, the group will be participating in ministry in and around Anchorage.  Some mission activities include construction work, Vacation Bible School for a local church, food pantry stocking, clothing ministry, and reaching out to the homeless.
Monthly payments can be made through May 1, 2023.
For information, please contact Pastor Troy at troy@firstwashingtonumc.org.

Local Missions

We have several different local mission projects we are supporting and encouraging you to be a part of.  From our local food pantry which helps serve those that are hungry, to our partnering with other churches such as the Presbyterian Church of Washington, MO to help with making meals for the Meals on Wheels program, we have opportunities for local missions.

Food Pantry

The food pantry is open Friday afternoons from 2:00-4:00 at the church.  No background check is required.

Little Food Pantry stations are available at the church, under the pavilion and at Napa Auto Parts off High Street in Washington.
