2 Thessalonians 1:19
Connection is part of our human make up. We believe God created us for fellowship with Him and with others. We have many events that may be found on the church grounds, and we love getting involved in the community. We hope you will join us at a future event.

Please bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share!
When: November 23, 2025, immediately following service
Where: Church Sanctuary

Our church family at First Washington UMC is adopting a family for Christmas through the local nonprofit Loving Hearts. Starting November 23 there will be gift tags on a gift tree in church representing a need or want for a member of the family. Please choose a tag(s) to help a local family this holiday season.
We are providing Christmas gifts for a family of 6 kids and 2 parents.
The gifts are to be unwrapped and back to the church by Thursday, December 11, so they can be delivered to Loving Hearts by December 12.

Time to Make the Church Merry and Bright! As we get ready to celebrate the Christmas season, we invite you to come and help decorate the church and make it look warm, joyful, and festive for everyone who walks through the doors.
We’ll be decorating on November 24 (Monday) from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Whether you’re great with lights, love fluffing garland, or just want to enjoy good company while we set the mood for the season, we would be grateful for your help. It’s always more fun with a crew!

Patty Giebink will be leading the discussion of the Fiction Book group's current selection, The Patmos Deception by Davis Bunn.

The holiday season can be hard. Whether you’re grieving, lonely, or simply feeling anxious or overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Join us for a quiet, reflective evening where we make space for honest emotions, and gently welcome light into dark places. Together we’ll remember that even in difficult seasons, hope, peace, and joy are still possible through the presence of Christ.
