Small Groups

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

At First Washington UMC, we strive to make connections through small groups.  We have offerings of in-person and online groups. For more information on how to get connected,  please reach out to our Director of Discipleship Ministries Shara Neubert at sharawillming@gmail.com.

Simplifying Revelation

Join us for a new Bible study on Revelation: "Simplifying Revelation: How to Read the Book of Revelation" by Shane J. Wood, Ph.D. This free video resource from Ozark Christian College will guide us in understanding the Book of Revelation in a fresh way.

Instead of speculating about the end times, the mark of the beast, or Armageddon, we'll focus on learning how to read Revelation itself. This class will help us grasp what the Bible really says and what God communicated to John as he wrote the book. Let's approach Revelation with an open mind and a desire to understand its message.

There will be homework, map reading, word definitions, lots of Bible reading, watching entertaining Professor lectures and discussion of the 20-minute segments.

When: Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
April 3 – June 12th (11 Weeks)
Where: First Washington UMC

Wiser Together

Soul Care

How we respond to the events of our everyday lives is our spiritual journey.  Soul care is a way of companioning others as they intentionally seek to notice and listen more closely to the guidance and transforming work of God in their everyday lives. Whether in a group or a one-on-one setting, soul care creates the opportunity to gain clarity and experience God’s grace and love in your present circumstances.
