Fiction Book Group

Everyone is invited to join in our next fiction book discussion: The Negotiator by Dee Henderson.  The book is a mystery/thriller/romance story involving a hostage negotiator and an FBI agent.  Read the book at your leisure, and we will get together in early February for the discussion.  Please reach out to Patty Giebink if you are interested in joining the discussion (pgiebink@gmail.com).

Christian Denomination Study

Learn about beliefs, customs, history, and worship of other Christian denominations.

Once a month, a meeting is held at First Washington UMC for video and discussion of one Christian denomination.  Then as applicable, the group visits a church of the denomination to meet with a clergy member to learn more and possibly attend a worship service.

Meetings will resume in the new year with a study on Catholicism. More information and a registration link will be available closer to the event.

Soul Care

How we respond to the events of our everyday lives is our spiritual journey.  Soul care is a way of companioning others as they intentionally seek to notice and listen more closely to the guidance and transforming work of God in their everyday lives. Whether in a group or a one-on-one setting, soul care creates the opportunity to gain clarity and experience God’s grace and love in your present circumstances.

For more information, please contact Julie Dotson at connectionsbalance@gmail.com
