Matthew 28:19
It is a wonderful opportunity to be in mission with God in God's mission field. Whether it be in our local community, in our state, around our country, or out of the country, God can use each of our talents for the mission field.
We have several different local mission projects we are supporting and encouraging you to be a part of. From our local food pantry which helps serve those that are hungry, to our partnering with other churches such as the Presbyterian Church of Washington, MO to help with making meals for the Meals on Wheels program, we have opportunities for local missions.
Harvest Table is a free meal for those in need in the community.
Taking turns with many other organizations and churches in the Washington area, First Washington UMC helps to prepare and serve the meal.
Volunteers are needed to prepare, serve, and clean up on Saturday May 24 from 4:15-6:20pm. The meal takes place at St Peter's UCC (20 East 5th Street, Washington MO 63090).
